Becky Lou (Welch) Pedro

Becky Lou (Welch) Pedro, loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, age 72 joined her loving Husband, Lanna Pedro in Heaven on August 28th, 2023. She was surrounded by love and family as she was called home. Becky met the love of her life, Lanna in 1971-they spent their early years building a wonderful life with two daughters that they absolutely adored-Traci was welcomed in 1972 and Stacey in 1974. Over the next 50 years, they built a happy home together, often celebrating life, friends and family. They loved to travel together as a family, ride four wheelers, go camping, watch movies, football games and just spend time together-Christmas was an especially wonderful time of year for them. One of the first family vacations was to Green Bay Wisconsin to visit their beloved Green Bay Packers. Becky was a secret Baltimore Colts fan but her love for Lanna converted her to a Packers fan. During their trip to Wisconsin, they so enjoyed watching their young girls run around and collect autographs and taking pictures with the football players. Green Bay became a favorite spot for them to return to. They enjoyed visiting Packer establishments, the stadium and sport shops. Their most recent return was to watch Favre return to Lambeau with Stacey and her husband Myk. It was a trip they had talked about for years and was the last time they were able to go. Becky and Lanna were very proud of their daughters love of the Packers, they greatly enjoyed watching them go to their first game together on Thanksgiving Day in 2015. Becky and Lanna, after she retired from the Monroe County Clerks Office found a new passion for flowers and gardening, they greatly enjoyed tending to their flourishing backyard oasis. In 1992, Becky and Lanna welcomed their first grandchild and embarked on a journey of love only a grandparent could know. As each grandchild entered this world, six in total, the love in the Pedro home grew. Becky enjoyed being part of their lives, reading with them, arts and crafts, watching Disney movies and spending time together. Later in 2014, the first great grandchild was welcomed to the family and Becky once again reveled in watching them grow, learn, love and being a Great-Grandmother. Some might say the Greatest Grandmother of all! Becky especially loved being able to share her love of Disney and Mickey Mouse. She was always buying Mickey Mouse things for the family, a love she passed down to her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Lanna Pedro, Mother-Glodene Welch, great grandmother-Ada Welch, Aunts Becky Rogers and Betty Lou Baugh. Her Mother in law, Margaret (Siedl-Pedro) Sims,sisters-in-law Mary Ramierz, Nancy McMillian and Annie Pedro, brothers-in-law Charles Pedro, Lloyd Pedro, James Pedro and great friend Bobby Hall. Survivors include daughters Traci (Mike) Miller, Stacey (Myk) Goffinet, grandchildren-Kortney Sturgis, Arionna Goffinet, Asher Goffinet, Teleah Roll, Taryn Roll, Takoma Pedro-Lentz. great grandchildren Layne Sturgis and Henry Sturgis, Serena Roll, Hudson Little, Henry Roll, special friends Chris and Jane Kupersmith and family of Bobby Hall, all of Bloomington, sisters-in-law Carlene Stines, Penny Pate, Brenda Golden, brother-in-law Rev Neal (Marti) Pedro New Life Church in Harrodsburg, Indiana became an important part of Becky’s life, she greatly enjoyed attending church when she could and later was able to watch the services live streamed. She made many meaningful friendships that felt more like family at New Life. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00PM at New Life Church in Harrodsburg. Visitation will also be held Saturday at the church from 11:00AM until the time of the services at 1:00PM. The family is grateful for their loving, generous, continued support.
