Candi Jo Haley

Candi Jo Haley, age 57 of Bloomington passed away Wednesday February 1, 2017 at the Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born October 28, 1959 in Bloomington to Boyd and Patricia Haley. Candi spent her professional career as a public servant in Monroe County, most recently at the Prosecutors Office as a Child Support Case Worker where she received multiple Kudos Awards for her service and dedication to the children of Indiana. She was a lifelong member, leader, supporter and volunteer of 4-H; a proud supporter of the Don R. Lewis Memorial Christmas Fundraiser, the It’s All About the Animals organization, and was a current member of the Richland Township Advisory Board. Candi was a lover of all things outdoors, especially humming birds, the warm sun and working in her garden. She also loved music and anything to do with fairies as they reflected her happiness, lightheartedness and joy. She will always be remembered as a woman of grace, compassion, love, dedication, strength, spunk, and her own brand of hard headedness. She leaves behind her husband Greg George, daughters Vanessa Davis and husband Matthew, Cadee Hill, step son Geremy George and wife Heather, and step daughter Elizabeth George. Also surviving are 10 amazing grandchildren Galeel, Gerin, Gavin and Gunner George, Pandora Langley, Zoey Castillo, Claire and Faye Hill, Madelyn and Audrey Davis and her mother, Patricia Haley. Candi was predeceased by her father Boyd Haley, paternal grandparents Noble and Ruth Haley, maternal grandparents Harold and Ruth Mitchell, aunts Betty Haley Burks, and Beatrice Haley Finley, and uncles Richard Burks, C.D. Mitchell, and Fred Weseman, nephew Devin Bowen, and her brother Bruce Haley. Candi’s siblings that survive are Brett Haley and wife Barbara, Cheri Bowen and husband Bill, nephews Blair Haley, Travis Bowen and wife Elizabeth, Brent Haley and wife Lydia, and Boyd Haley. Many loving members of her extended family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Candi will be held Monday February 6, 2017 at 2:00PM at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37. Rev. Les Rovenstine will preside and burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will also be held Monday February 6, 2017 from 11:00 AM until then time of the service at 2:00 PM at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either the Vaqueros Horse and Pony Club or It’s All About the Animals organization.
