Debra Jo “Debbie” Fox, 69, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at her daughters home with her family by her side. She was born on April 9, 1954, in Bloomington, the daughter of James and Loretta Kay (Hawkins) Puett. Debra married the love of her life David Mark Fox on April 29, 1972 and together they shared 51 years of marriage. She was a amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Debra loved her family very much and treasured every minute she spent with them. She was most of all a homemaker, but she also worked for Indiana University Memorial Hall as a meat chef for several years, and as a school bus driver for the Monroe County School Corporation. She was a current member of Sanders Pentecostal Church and also a former member Apostolics of Greene County and the McCormick’s Creek United Pentecostal Church for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, going out to eat, traveling, especially her vacations trips to Gatlinburg with her husband and family. She will be greatly Missed Debbie is survived by her daughters, Tonya (Tim) Hudson of Ellettsville: Missi (Jerry) Galloway of Owen County; Shannon (Travis) Stipp of Judah, seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters Kathy (Dan) Pardieck of Florida; Carla Allen of Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Puett and Loretta Kay Deckard; her husband, Rev. David Mark Fox; her Brother Carlos Puett. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Sanders Pentecostal Church, 6490 South Fairfax Road, Bloomington. With Rev. Billy Adams, Rev. Rick Robertson and Rev Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the church, and again from 12:00 p.m. until the time-of-service Friday also at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral expences. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
