Dorothy Headley Stansifer Rader

Dorothy Headley Stansifer Rader died peacefully in her home in Plainfield on June 30, 2017 and entered into the presence of her LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRlST. She was born January 7, 1926 to Orville and Josephine(Gilmore) Headley in Bloomington, IN. Dorothy always had a smile for each person she met. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and hostess. She enjoyed her children, family and friends. She loved studying the Holy Scriptures, attending Bible Study fellowship and hosting Bible studies. She was a member of the Young Mother’s Club and later Charm and Chatter Club of Bloomington. She was an accomplished seamstress and later excelled in China Painting. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, bird watching and Sunday afternoon drives. Dorothy accepted Christ as her SAVIOR July 17, 1938 and was baptized in the creek on Mabel Hinds farm near Bloomington. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Stansifer on 6/8/1962, Daughter, Connie Stansifer Miller(Dale) on Easter, 4/15/1979, Father, Orville Headley on 11/14/1960,! Mother, Josephine(Gilmore) Headley on 4/16/1980, Brothers, John, 2/25/1978, Orville(Gene) 12/7/1983, Joe on 12/15/1993 and Sisters, Florence McClung 1/25/1982 and Ruth Voliva 5/4/2017 . She is survived by her husband Edward Rader, children Larry (Sue) Stansifer, Jay (Linda) Rader and Lisa Rader. Grandchildren , Chad (Suzette) Miller, TJ ( Sarah) Stansifer, Ashley Rader and Ryan Rader. Great Grandchildren, Dustyn and Dakoda Ogle and Leyla Miller. She is survived by sister Lois Carmichael. Visitation will be held Thursday July 6, 2017 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Plainfield Christian Church 800 Dan Jones Road in Plainfield. Visitation will also be held Saturday July 8, 2017 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Allen Funeral home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 Bloomington where a funeral service will also be held at 1:00PM, Saturday July 8, 2017. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to GIDEON'S INTERNATIONAL or Bibles. The members will distribute the bibles in any one of the 200 countries where members are actively engaged in reaching people for Christ.
