Edward Ray "Ed" Aydelott

Edward Ray “Ed” Aydelott, 71, of Ellettsville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the IU Health Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born on May 6, 1949 in Caruthersville, Missouri the son of Charles Paul and Stella Irene (Leak) Aydelott. He attended Caruthersville Schools in Missouri and attended Portland Bible College in Portland, Oregon. Ed married Barbara Ann Schellharbt on October 18, 1969 in Granite City, Illinois they were happily married 51 years. He was a Kirby salesman and the owner and operator of Kirby Sales and Service in the Bloomington and Terra Haute area for over 40 years, and he also sold cable for Comcast in Southern Indiana for 10 years, he was a true salesman and loved his job. Ed was a member of Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville, former member of Landmark Apostolic Church in Bloomington and McCormicks Creek Apostolic Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent, he loved children, witnessing to people, sharing God’s love, bus ministry, and outreach, he was very active in his church, Ed was a man of many talents and had many friends and knew many people. He never meet a stranger, Ed had an abundance of love for people, his children, family and friends. Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Aydelott of Ellettsville; his children, Gary Edward (Shelly) Aydelott of Ellettsville; DeeAnna Lynn Williams of Ellettsville; six grandchildren, Denver Lee Aydelott (Abbie); Kathryn Ann Williams (Isaac); Kaylee Renee Aydelott; Kole Jadon Williams; Kirsten Marie Williams and Garyn Reid Aydelott; one brother, Donald (Christine) Aydelott of Caruthersville, MO; one sister, Linda (Ronnie) Vaughn of Fulton, MS; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents three sisters, Mary Hugdens; Martha Miller; Carolyn Story; one brother Jerry Aydelott. A funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville. With Rev. Ron Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday May 2, 2021 at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Turning Point Apostolic Church Building Fund or Sunday School Department.
