Ellen Lutes, “Meemaw”, our “Gramma Lu”, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 3rd, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless children whose lives she touched. Ellen was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend as well as a remarkable pillar of her community. She lived a most selfless life dedicated to nurturing and supporting those around her. Ellen's devotion to her family knew no bounds, and her children, in turn, blessed her with beautiful grandchildren and great grand children who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Ellen brought so much comfort to those in need, offering a listening ear, sage advice, and a shoulder to lean on when life grew challenging. Ellen's nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family, as she tirelessly ran an in-home daycare for over four decades. She tended to the needs of countless children from her community, providing them with a safe and loving environment to learn and grow. P.A.L.S became a second home for many, where laughter, learning, and care filled each day. The impact she had on the lives of these children cannot be measured, as she forever imprinted love and kindness upon their hearts. Her children, Tony, Mike, and Jody, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, will cherish the memories they shared with their beloved mother and grandmother. She was proceeded in death by her first husband, Darrell D Roberts, brother, David Richardson, her second husband Jerry Lutes, her parents, Leon and Edith Richardson, grandson, Gage Lutes, brother, Steve Richardson. She was survived by her, three sons and their wives, Tony Lutes and his wife, Rita, Mike Lutes and his wife, Tracee, and Jody Lutes and his wife, Stacie; her eight grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal Hillenburg and her husband, Brandon, Bethany Campbell, and her husband, Gabe, Ashley Burch and her husband, Jake, Christina Herron and her husband, Drew, Retsan Lutes, Evan Lutes, Mason Lutes, and Andrew Lutes. Also surviving are her eight great grandchildren, Alivia Campbell, Addison Hillenburg, Griffin Campbell, Alexis Hillenburg, Evelyn Campbell, Huckleberry Burch, Edith Lucille Burch, and Oaks Graham Burch. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 7, 2024 at 2:00PM at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery. Visiting will also be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00AM until the time of the service at 2:00PM.
