Eva Joan (Goss) Crouch

Eva Joan (Goss) Crouch, 94, loving mother and grandmother, of Ellettsville, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on October 30, 1931. She was the daughter of Frank and Eva (Watson) Goss and Dewitt and Virginia (Archer) Rush of Bloomington, Indiana. Joan graduated from Bloomington High School in 1951. She worked for RCA in Bloomington for many years. She retired from Indiana University, where she had worked in the main office of Willkie Quad residence hall. Spending time with her family and friends brought her the greatest joy. She was a wonderful neighbor who was always ready to help anyone in need. Joan enjoyed shopping, reading, jigsaw puzzles and walking faster than anyone else. She was a great cook; especially known for her turkey dressing she made every Thanksgiving. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Peggy (Goss) Fuchic of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jack Goss of Boston, Massachusetts, Frank “Buster” Goss Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ruth (Goss) Shannon of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ralph Goss of Shelbyville, Indiana, Alice Jean Rush of Bloomington, Indiana and her former husband, Bill Crouch of Bloomington, IN. She is survived by two siblings, Ronald (Carol) Goss of Donna, Texas and Sharon Wilson of Winter Haven, Florida, her children, Mark (Teresa) Crouch of Ellettsville, Indiana, Tim (Cheryl) Crouch of Ellettsville, Indiana, and Kelly (Tracy) Blackwell of Bedford, Indiana, as well as her grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Crouch of Ellettsville, Indiana, Christopher (Katie) Crouch of Dallas, Texas, Cory (Macy) Blackwell of Southlake, Texas, Sarah Crouch of Bloomington, Indiana, Kyle (McKenzi) Blackwell of Bloomington, Indiana, and Zachary Crouch of Indianapolis, Indiana and great-grandchildren, Lynlee Crouch, Makenna Crouch, Lux Blackwell, Thea Blackwell, Wren Blackwell, Griffin Crouch and Walker Blackwell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Millie (Crouch) Carter and many nieces and nephews and their families. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 is handling the arrangements and a graveside service for Eva will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 1:00PM in the afternoon at Valhalla Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington, IN.
