Geraldine "Gerry" Bradley

Geraldine "Gerry" Bradley, 77, of Bloomington, peacefully passed away at home Wednesday. She was born June 19, 1934 in Monett Arkansas, the first born of Luther and Pearl (Sessums) Jones. Geraldine was retired from the State of Indiana where she worked for Cambridge Square working with the elderly. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Hospice, the School Library and enjoyed sewing for others and babysitting her Grandchildren. In her Retirement years, she volunteered for the Opportunity House and continued to help with the elderly at Cambridge Square. She was an faithful servant at her Church, North Central Church of Christ, helping with meals, volunteering with the Daycare, helping in the office when needed and many years ago was a paid secretary - but more importantly she loved the LORD. She loved children, helped raised her eight siblings and then raised four of her own. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Lynn Munro, married 58 years this September 13th; two sons, Joe Dale (Anne) and Benjamin Kirk (Diane), and two daughters Sylvia Lynnette (Larry) Branam and Sonya Jannette (Scott) Dobereiner; six grandkids, Toni Jannette (Jeremy) Guyton, Bradley Luke Branam, Stephen Lucas and Lydia Mae Bradley, Taylor Diane and Benjamin Kirk Jr. Bradley; three great-grandkids, Audrianne Patricia, Julian Edwin and Jonah Franklin Guyton; six step-grandkids, Larry-Joe Jr. (Sherrie) Branam, Ira Lee (Sally) Branam, Mary Lou Branam and Angie Ranee Wiles, Allen Lee (Melissa) Dobereiner, Tamyra Kaye (Jason) Tarance; and eight step-great grandchildren, Samantha Ann Wiles, Tanner James Robinson and Alex Joseph Wiles, Amber, Terra and Savannah Branam, Tyler Benjamin and Stella Rae Dobereiner. Geraldine was the oldest of nine children; she leaves behind seven siblings all currently living in the South, Hazel Rands, Bobby (Marlene) Jones, Peggy Williamson, Paul (Cheryl) Jones, James Allen "Tiny" Jones, Dorothy "Dot" Hilderbrand, and Bettye Kaye "Mickey" Clark and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Pearl Barnett Jones and her brother Charles Wayne Jones. A Celebration of Life will be held at North Central Church of Christ at 3:00, Saturday, April 14th. Please feel free to arrive early and enjoy the pictures and the 50th Anniversary DVD of Lynn and Geraldine Bradley. The Service will begin at 4:00pm.
