Janine Reagan

Janine Reagan née Ford, 68, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away June 16, 2025, after living with Alzheimer’s disease for over thirteen years. Born August 29, 1956 in Hudson, Michigan, she was the daughter of Richard and Ruth Ford, née Sutter. Janine was a 1974 graduate of Bloomington High School North, and attended Indiana University, where she met her husband Michael Reagan during their freshman year. They were married for 37 years until his untimely death from cancer in 2016. Janine’s favorite role was as mother to their children, Kathleen and David. She was able to stay at home with them through much of their childhood, and became the favorite classroom mom and school field trip supervisor. Janine also worked as a secretary and office assistant at Public Health Nursing, Fairview United Methodist Church, and several departments at Indiana University. Janine was a member of Clear Creek Christian Church and Ellettsville Christian Church for several years and served as a Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and nursery supervisor. She was a member of Tri Kappa sorority and volunteered in their community service. Through her husband Mike, a teacher and coach at RBBCSC, she often volunteered for the local schools, working the concession stand or selling tickets at sporting events. Janine is survived by her daughter Kathleen Reagan, son David and daughter-in-law Erin Reagan, grandchildren Jonas and Eleanor, mother Ruth Sager, brother Doug Ford, sister Kristin Wiedenhoeft, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her father Richard, and her stepfather Ray Sager. Visitation will take place at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 9:00-11:00am, with a memorial service to follow immediately afterwords. Janine was a loving wife, a cool mom, a caring daughter, and a kind friend. She loved to read mystery and romance books, listened to a wide variety of music - especially anything that she could dance to, and lived to travel. She enjoyed word searches and cross stitches, nights out with friends, and most of all time spent with her family. She was the ultimate mom, caring for and accepting all those in her circle, and giving THE best hugs. In the last years of her life Janine was greatly changed, robbed of her voice, her body, and later her ability to move, but her personality still remained, endearing her to her caregivers and hospice staff.
