Jarold (Jerry) D. Wease

Jarold (Jerry) D. Wease, 59, of Bloomington, passed away December 5, 2015 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1956, as the son of Arthur K. and Geneva I. (Guthrie) Wease. Jerry graduated from Bloomington North High School in 1974. Jerry will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who gave more to others than he received, for always having a smile to share. Jerry had been employed at Classic Bowling Lanes most recently. He had also worked at Harmon Becker in Martinsville, IN and in electronic sales for Ohio Valley Sound and Elex-Mart. Jerry was a past president of the Youth Bowling Association, and past secretary of Bloomington's United States Bowling Association. Jerry attended Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Wease of Bloomington, siblings; Ken (Debbie) Wease of Harrodsburg, Michael (Tina) Wease of Anderson, and Ginger (Craig) Sparks of Spencer, nephews; Aaron (Marci) Wease, Travis (Amanda) Wease, Jamison Wease, Justin Wease, Seth and Wyatt Sparks, great-niece, McKinzie Wease great-nephews; Brett, Dalton, and Tyson Wease, uncle, Wendall Wease, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur K. Wease; sister, Genetta; maternal grandparents, Lefair and Orpha Guthrie; paternal grandparents, Paul and Viola Wease; and great-nephew, Robert Wease. A memorial service, conducted by Pastor Matt Hinshaw, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, 9254 S 3rd Ave. Harrodsburg, IN. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. A private burial will take place immediately following the service at Lawrenceport Cemetery, Mitchell, IN. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Rd 37, have been entrusted with arrangements.
