Jayne Ann Rollins

Jayne Ann Rollins, 71, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday February 5, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on August 7, 1951 in Bloomington, Indiana the daughter of Wayne Edward and Kathryn Sue (DePhue) McGlothlin. Jayne was a 1969 graduate of Smithville High School. She married the love of her life Denny Lee Rollins on June 26, 1977 in Bloomington, Indiana they were happily married for forty -five years. Jayne worked at Indiana Bell as a line clerk in Bloomington, she also worked as a secretary for PRD Plastic in Harrodsburg. And then she went to work as a secretary for Lineal Contracting for over 20 years before retiring in 2022. She was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Harrodsburg. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her family they were the most important part of her life. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family and her grandchildren, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cars, playing piano and the organ in church, planting flowers, and spending time with her friends. She will be greatly missed. Jayne is survived by her husband, Denny Rollins of Bloomington; her daughters, Lezlee (Jim) Rohland of Bedford; Elicia (Robert) Wood of Bloomington; her five grandchildren, Emilee Rohland; Paul Rohland; Katelynn Rohland; Mitchell Wood and Evan Wood; one brother, Reed Wayne (Pam) McGlothlin of Harrodsburg; and many nieces; nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Kathryn McGlothlin. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the New Life Pentecostal Church in Harrodsburg. With Rev. Michael Gray officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023, and from 10:00am until the time of service also Thursday February 9, 2023 both at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Pentecostal Church in Harrodsburg. The family would like to thank the first responders and the Monroe County Sherriff’s Department for their kindness and helpfulness.
