Joseph Stringfellow

Joseph Stringfellow, age 36, passed away Sunday November 8, 2020. He was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He attended Harmony School, Clear Creek Elementary, Jackson Creek Middle School and South High School. He attended Indiana University one year, then completed his degree at Full Sail University in Florida. From Florida, he moved to Austin, TX where he lived and worked for 8 years. From Austin, he moved to Kalispell, Montana in 2017 where he stayed for one year. In 2018, he moved back to Indiana where he remained until his death. The outlining theme in Joe’s life was experiencing his passions when he had the opportunity and to never hold back doing what fed his soul. He was an extremely passionate man who loved his family and valued his relationships with them as his most valuable gift in life. Joe was an avid bicyclist, hiker, explorer, fisherman and camper. He spent much of his time in Big Bend National Park in TX. Moving to Kalispell afforded him the opportunity to explore Glacier National Park. After moving from Montana to Indiana, he again engaged in his passion of hiking, fishing and visiting the state and local parks. Joe had travelled overseas, visiting countries he longed to see and experience. He travelled and visited most National Parks, along with many state parks across the country and especially loved going to Canada and Hawaii. He took most of the trips alone, giving himself the time and opportunity to experience not only the sightseeing, but interacting with the people and traditions of that country. He remained true to his free spirit his entire life. Joe got more out of life in his 36 years than many have experienced in a lifetime. Joe was a Certified Drone Pilot. He engaged in projects for realtors and making videos of properties being marketed. Joe was, by nature, a quiet man. His circle of friends was small and supportive of his needs and loved him just as he was. He established life long friendships. Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Philip Stringfellow and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Sherfick. Surviving family members include his parents, Dale and Karen McKibben; his father, Richard Stringfellow; his brother, Keaton Presti-Stringfellow; his nephew, Emery Joseph Stringfellow; and his step-mother, Dru Presti-Stringfellow. Arrangements are with the Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37.
