Karina Lea (Cherry) McDonald

Karina Lea (Cherry) McDonald, 59 of Rushville, Indiana went to be with the Lord on February.14, 2021 at Community Hospital Anderson. She was born on November 10, 1961 in Rushville, Indiana the daughter of Lawrence William and June Eileen (Posey) Cherry. She attended Rushville High School and also went to Nursing school at Indiana University East in Richmond. Karina was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to all. She had a heart of gold and made everyone welcome. She was the person who was always there for everyone and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Karina loved horses, going to rodeos, family get togethers, playing games with family and friends, watching her grandson’s play football, and holding her great grandbabies. Karina was one of the most giving people that we have ever met. We will miss her smile, her laugh, her thoughtfulness and most of all, her huge heart. Karina attended the Family Worship Center in Rushville. She worked for Millers Merry Manor for several years, Fujitsu Ten in Rushville for over 15 years, and Copeland Corporation in Rushville. Karina is survived by her children, Missy (Ryan) Berkemeier of Rushville; Mandy (Ed) Capps of Rushville; five grandchildren, Clayton (Starr) Griffith; Dalton (Haley) Wallace; Trenton Capps; Bryce Berkemeier and Kaylee Berkemeier; and five great grandchildren, Addy; Paris; Ka’harrii; Rosalee and Gracyn; her sisters, Reba (Tom) Newhouse of Rushville; Erin (Jon) Pace of Ellettsville; her brothers, Johnny (Kelly) Cherry of Rushville; Eric (Sarah) Cherry of Indianapolis; her friend/sister Connie (Albert) Morris of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Larry and June Cherry. A private memorial service will be held at for the family. Public visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Family Worship Center 1002 W. 1st Street Rushville Indiana. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Worship Center in Karina’s name.
