Katrina Nicole "Katie" Schwartz

Katrina Nicole” Katie” Schwartz, 29, of Anderson passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington of mast cell leukemia. She was born on June 19, 1988 in Bloomington, the daughter of Craig David and Marlene Rose (Wagner) Schwartz. Katie was a 2007 graduate of Edgewood High School, and a 2013 graduate of Ball State University receiving her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. She was a member of the Living Water Church in Anderson, The Ball State Campus Ministry, Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship in Muncie, she was a house mother for Beauty for Ashes – Transitional Home for battered women in Alexandria, Indiana, and a teacher of three-year-old class at the Living Water Church in Anderson, Indiana, Katie is survived by her parents, Craig and Marlene Schwartz of Ellettsville, one sister, Abigail Augusta (Benjamin) Farmer (Austin, Grace, Makinzi) of Spencer, two brothers; Andrew Melvin (Kate) Schwartz (Addilyn and Avery) of Noblesville, Evan Victor Schwartz of Bloomington, and her Fiancé Tim Loudenback of Anderson, IN and her grandfather, Melvin Schwartz of Ft. Wayne, IN. Her grandmother Marjory Schwartz, grandparents Victor and Augusta Wagner, three cousins Jobe Zoglman, Angie Beck, Caroline O’Brien preceded her in death. Katie lived by the motto "Love God and Love Others". She always kept others best interests ahead of her own. Katie was a spontaneous, free spirited, Christian woman who lived in the moment and enjoyed the blessings God gave her each day. If you know Katie, you know that she viewed each person in her life as a gift from the Lord. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S Old St Rd 37, Bloomington, and Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the church. Church. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Ellettsville Christian Church, with Rev Byron Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Chambersville Cemetery. A Bereavement luncheon will be held at the Ellettsville Christian Church Family Life Center following the burial.
