Kelly Dee Hatchett

Kelly Dee Hatchett, 57, of Bloomington, IN entered eternal rest on May 15, 2026 after a life marked by laughter, resilience, music, and deep love for her family and friends. Born on August 8, 1968, Kelly touched the lives of many with her vibrant personality and generous heart. Kelly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Sarah Young-Hatchett and Willmer Hatchett; her grandparents, Minnie Parks and Roger Parks; and her brother, Warren Hatchett, all of whom she loved dearly and carried in her heart throughout her life. She leaves behind her son, Wyatt Rogers and daughter, Hailey Rogers, who were the greatest joys of her life. She is also survived by her aunt, Jenny Robertson; half- sisters, Patty Sears and Tonya Measel, half-brother, Woody Hatchett, and the father of her children and former husband, George Rogers, along with many extended family members and friends. Kelly graduated from Bloomington High School South in 1986 and immediately joined the workforce. Kelly began her career as a talented hair stylist, where her outgoing personality and caring spirit allowed her to connect with many people. She continued her career at Anchor Marine/Professional Golf Car as a bookkeeper, before dedicating herself to being a stay-at-home mom, a role she treasured most. Kelly loved singing, dancing, and playing darts, and when she was at her best, she was truly the life of the party. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit left lasting impressions on everyone who met her. A proud breast cancer survivor, Kelly demonstrated incredible resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Her strength during those difficult times inspired many around her. Kelly’s spirit will live on in the memories shared by her family and friends — in every song sung loudly, every dance shared with loved ones, and every act of kindness done for another. In lieu of a funeral service, her family asks that those who wish to honor her memory do so by donating in Kelly’s name to a breast cancer organization or foundation of their choice, in recognition of her strength and courage as a breast cancer survivor.
