Lisa Marie Houshour

Lisa Marie Houshour, 41, of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California. She was born on November 18, 1982, in Bloomington, Indiana the daughter of Robert Wayne and Caroline Sue (Harden) Houshour. She was a 2001 graduate of Bloomington High School South. Lisa worked at Catalent Pharma Solutions in Bloomington as a scheduler for the last six years. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved her kids passionately and would stand up to anyone who had a bad thing to say about the people she cared for. Lisa had many people in her life she considered family, even though they were not related. Family meant the world to her. She loved spending quality time with her girls, family, and friends. She also enjoyed many hobbies such as photography, traveling, crafts, and decorating. Lisa had an eclectic sense of style and music. Her light, smile, sense of humor, and laugh which lit up a room will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Lisa is survived by her parents, Robert & Caroline Houshour of Bloomington; her children, Makayla Booker of Nashville, TN; Allie Carpenter of Bedford; Kelsey Peterson of Bedford; Evie Stewart of Bedford; two sisters, Amy Houshour of Bloomington; Carrie (Zach) Houshour of Bloomington; her boyfriend, Matt Hendrix of Bedford; her grandmother, Wilma Houshour of Bedford; her niece, Jamie Clay; and nephew, Brayden Clay; her uncle, Virgil Harden; Aunts, Rose Harden; Goldie (Garold) Kinser; and Bonnie Houshour; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Ruth Harden; and Howard Houshour; and her uncles Michael Houshour and James Houshour. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old St Rd 37 in Bloomington, with Reverend David Marrs officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time-of-service Thursday, December 14, 2023, also at the funeral home.
