Margie Ellen (Prince) Meadows"Granny", 78 of Bloomington, IN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening May 11, 2013. Her sister/best friend and caregiver (Rita Prince) was by her side along with many other family members. She was born March 29, 1935 in Monroe County to Opal H. and Vannie (Hillenburg) Prince. Margie married Jerry Lee Meadows on December 23, 1972. Margie attended Smithville High School and she worked for RCA, Sarkes Tarzan in the Tuner Division, Columbia House and Highland Village Laundromat. She is survived by her children, Pamey R. (Tracy) Holland of Jacksonville, FL, Karen L. Chestnut of Bloomington, IN, Trish A. (Troy) Deckard of Orleans, IN, Grandchildren, Loree M. (Chris) Hussey of Jacksonville, FL, Tracey Rose Holland (Chris Clemons) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Courtney L. Chestnut (Joey McGlothin) of Springville, IN, Whitney L (Phil) Tolliver of Harrodsburg, IN, Brandi A. Chestnut of Bloomington, IN, Tyler L. Stacey (Kendra) of Frankfort, Kentucky, Spec. Holli M. Deckard of Fort Riley, Kansas, Hayley N. Deckard of Orleans, IN, great-grandchildren, Ethan Hussey and Gavin Hussey of Jacksonville, FL; Carter Clemons of Fernandina Beach, FL;Lexie McGlothin, Brenden McGlothin, and Brilee McGlothin of Springville, IN; C.J. Rogers, and Skylar Rogers of Frankfort, KY; and Josh Kappleman of Texas, brothers, Gene (Elsie) Prince of Heltonville, IN, Hanford Prince of Springville, IN, Deward Prince of Springville, IN, sisters, Rita Prince of Bloomington, IN, Susie (Jimmie) Jones of Bedford, IN, Fay Phillips of Heltonville, IN , and Kay (Roger) Olsen of Bloomington, IN. Margie was preceded in death her parents, step-mother Deloris Prince, her husband Jerry who passed away December 16, 2008, and three brothers, (Marion Joseph, Wendell, and Robert Leroy). Services will be 1pm Wednesday May 15, 2013 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old State Road 37 Bloomington, IN with visitation 4-8pm Tuesday May 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to IU Health Hospice House. A special thanks to Dr. Jackie Joyce and all the staff at Hospice House for their excellent care.
