Michelle Jennay Jacquard

Michelle Jennay Jacquard passed away suddenly November 12, 2019, at the age of 57. Michelle was born June 13, 1962 in Lansing, Michigan, daughter of Jerald and Dawn Jacquard. She graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1980, and attended Indiana University where she received a BA in 1985 and an MS in 1987. Michelle is survived by her husband, David Bowling, daughter Castine Brock, son Cortland Brock, father Jerald, mother Dawn; brother Jerome (Georgey), sisters Renee’ (Paul), and Nicole (Fred), all who will miss their sister. Michelle was also survived by nieces and nephews: Cole, Sean, Mia, Katey and Clayton; aunts and uncles, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Michelle was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Earlier in life she was a member of the BHSN Varsity Swim Team and excelled in synchronized swimming where she competed with the IU club team. Michelle was a master gardener, she had a green thumb that was the envy of others and was constantly digging up new garden spaces around her home. A lifelong passion of Michelle’s was her love of the culinary arts. Michelle was a talented chef – and from a young age could be found in the kitchen whipping up sweet and savory dishes for family and friends. After a full career at Bloomington Hospital, Michelle later in life followed her passion for cooking and started her own catering business A Moveable Feast. Michelle would frequently be seen catering art openings at Indiana University. She and David enjoyed spending weeks on-end traveling to Las Vegas, but her favorite vacation memories were from the countless summers spent at the family cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Being a wife and mother was at the heart of Michelle’s soul, and she lived for her children Castine and Cortland. Michelle was loved and will be greatly missed by many – particularly David, Castine and Cortland, and her immediate family members. Visitation will be held Saturday November 16th, from 4-6pm at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN 47401.
