Patricia Jane Polley

Patricia Jane Polley, 91, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away peacefully on April 24, 2018 in her home, with her husband, children, and grandson at her side. Patricia was born January 29, 1927 in Owensburg, IN to the late Clayte and Ruby (Lackey) Fields. She graduated from Owensburg High School in 1945. Shortly after high school, Patricia married the love of her life Jennings Polley in August of 1946, they shared 71 wonderful years together. Patricia was a Secretary at Crane and worked at Sears when it first came to Bloomington. She went on to become a Secretary at Clear Creek Elementary School for 20 years, before she retired. Patricia loved the Lord and was a member or Clear Creek Christian Church for over 60 years. She was active in her community and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for Gideons International. Patricia loved to travel, over the years she traveled to all 50 states, Europe, and Australia. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Patricia’s family was the center of her life, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be deeply missed. Patricia is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jennings Polley; children, Rebecca (Polley) Williams, Michael Polley (Debbie); grandchildren, Amy (Turner) Hasselbring (Matt), Jason Turner, Matt Polley (Beth), and Brad Polley (Mandy); great-grandchildren, Briley Turner, Makenzi Cooley, Carsen Hasselbring, Kara Turner, Kate Turner, Elijah Polley, Jude Polley, Ezra Polley, Abram Polley, and Miles Polley; and her best friend Bea. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Fields; aunt, Edith Lackey; grandson, Kevin Turner (Susi); son-in- law, George Williams, father- in- law, Ralph Wise; mother-in-law, Hazel Wise; father-in-law, Theodore Polley. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 at 2:30 P.M at Clear Creek Christian Church. With Pastor David Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
