Regina Ann (Deom) Davis

Regina Ann (Deom) Davis, 61, passed away August 3, 2023. She was born on October 8th, 1961 in Tell City, Indiana to John Lawrence Deom and Thelma Mary (Richard) Deom. After graduating from Heritage Hills High School in 1979, Regina attended the University of Evansville. She worked over 25 years in retail management. Regina “Jeannie” loved her family and spending time with them. She often volunteered in her daughter’s kindergarten classroom. Jeannie loved being in the garden with her daughter, sharing her knowledge of plants. She also enjoyed preparing old fashion meals for her family, made from scratch. She frequented many of her grandson’s sporting events as well. Nothing illustrated Jeannie better than her compassion for helping the sick and weak. Through her time volunteering at Wildcare. She was able to help and nurse frail animals back to health. After which, they were released back to their home to thrive in nature. She avidly grew beautiful plants, illustrating her nurturing hands. She would spend hours tending to the plants, providing them with the sustenance to thrive. Even with the most difficult plants to grow, she knew exactly what they needed. One of Jeannie’s favorite things to do was baking cookies and cakes for parties and celebrations. She poured her heart into decorating them for the occasion. Bringing her great joy to be a part of the memories made and celebrated, through her baking. These examples exemplify who Regina “Jeannie” (Deom) Davis was. She thrived in nature and it brought her great joy. This joy included hiking for geodes, mushroom hunting, looking for wildlife, and being in the great outdoors. She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Roberts (Jake Roberts), and grandson, Carson Roberts. She is also survived by her siblings: Kathy Shireman, Susie Fortwendel, Fred Deom, Tom Deom, and Carol Smith. Regina was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her brother Bill Deom. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association or Wildcare. Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will be scheduling a celebration of life for Regina privately at a later date.
