Richard C. "Dick" Trueblood

Richard C. "Dick" Trueblood, 85, of Bloomington passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington, IN. He was born July 1, 1930 in Bloomington, IN, to John L. and Martha Helen (Cherry) Trueblood. Dick was a 1948 Graduate of Bloomington High School. Dick married Frances Lee Hearld in Bloomington Indiana they were married 57 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korean War in the Engineering Corp building bridges. He worked for RCA in Bloomington for over 40 years retiring in 1989 and then he went to work for CFC Properties for ten years. Dick was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church for over 30 years, also a member of the American Legion Post #18 in Bloomington, the Masonic Lodge #22 of Bloomington, Stone Belt Shrine Club where he served as Past President, Scottish Rite, Murat Temple in Indianapolis, IN, Charter Member and licensed operator of the R.H.S. Water Corporation, he loved his wife, playing golf, traveling, IU basketball and football, turkey bowl games with his brothers, brother-in-law's and family, trips with the shrine club, building his own house's and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his grandson; Nathan (wife Alison) Trueblood of Bloomington, three sisters; Virginia Dixon of Bloomington, Martha (Mitch) Porter of Terra Haute, Patty (Charles) Miller of Louisville, KY, three brother; David (wife Elaine) Trueblood of Bloomington, Ronnie (wife Mary) Trueblood of Shreveport, LA, Larry (wife Mary Jane) Trueblood of Franklin, IN, two great grandsons Tucker and Dawson Trueblood. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances Trueblood, son Tim Trueblood, and two sisters Ann Blackmore, Betty Ritter, three brothers Jim, John Jr, and Phillip "Dwight" Trueblood. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10am at the Northside Christian Church 3993 N Prow Rd with Rev. Glen Stidd officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at the Allen Funeral Home & Crematory 4155 S Old St Rd 37 and Saturday 9am to service time at the church. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Memorial may be given thru the Allen Funeral Home to the Cincinnati Shrine Hospital. Condolence may be sent to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.
