Ronald Joseph Lucius

Ronald Joseph Lucius, 54, of Springville, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. Ron was born on August 16, 1964 to Ralph and Dorothy Lucius in Bowling Green, Ohio. Ron started working in his hometown of Tiffin, Ohio in the wholesale industry, where he worked his way up to a sales representative. This ambition lead to his job relocation to Bloomington and the pursuit of his bachelors degree in business management. He continued his career in pharmaceutical sales, wholesale sales, and concluded as a field insurance agent for the Knights of Columbus. Ron was a devout Catholic that practiced and preached his infinite faith daily. His smile illuminated any space he entered and he never knew a stranger. He enjoyed being a coach and mentor to his children and the kids of the Bloomington, in basketball, softball, cross county, 4H and the Quarter Horse communities. He had a passion for caring for his farm, where he raised Quarter Horses and cattle. Ron’s spirit and his cowboy charisma will live on, but his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Teresa, daughter KC Lucius, and son Andrew Lucius, his father and mother, Ralph and Dorothy Lucius, his brother Craig (Ellen) Lucius and their daughter Lindsey, and three sisters, Connie (Dan) Nielson and their children Cece, Ben and Mallory, Lisa (Steve) Smith and their son Cody, and Nicki (Matt) Rumschlag and their daughters Samantha and Taylor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday November 17, 2018 at 11:00AM at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Friday November 16, 2018 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37. There will be a party to celebrate Ron’s life after the Mass on Saturday, November 17th in the St. Charles School Gymnasium, all are welcome. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's memory to either Monroe County 4H 3400 South Walnut Street Bloomington, IN 47401 or St. Charles Catholic School Athletic Program 2224 East Third Street Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
