Rudy Langley

Rudolph (Rudy) Langley Jr., 61, of Spencer, IN passed away April 27, 2024 at McCormick’s Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Spencer. Rudy was born in Bloomington, IN to Rudolph and Mary T. Langley of Bloomington. He was married to Susan Rice Langley of Oklahoma City. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved fishing, camping, the outdoors, motorcycles (a Harley man), and he was happy to be just hanging out with family and friends having a good time. He also enjoyed listening to music. Rudy worked at construction jobs with a range of skills. He loved to move around the country and lived in several states. Rudy was a person of strength and character; enduring many years with little complaint of his condition, he was more interested in how others were doing. He would often say he was doing “awesome” and “love you forever and always”. Rudy is survived by brothers: Kirby (Tina), Steven (Nancy), and Frank Langley; step-brothers Greg (Lynn) and Tim (Janice) Southern; sisters: Debra Kowalik, Rudeana (Calvin) Honeycutt, Lauretta Langley, Cindy (Billy) Floyd, and Margaret Langley; sister-in-law, Rosa Langley; step-daughters, Jayme Anderson and Amber Hall; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, step-mom, Judy Langley, wife Susan Langley, brothers Forrest (Mary) and Marcus Langley, brother-in-law Jim Kowalik, sisters, Charlotte and Anita Langley. Rudy had a special relationship with his care providers at McCormick’s Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. We would like to express our appreciation to all the staff members. Also, our appreciation goes out to Heart to Heart Hospice. A service will be held at 1pm at Allen Funeral Home (4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN 47401) on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at 1pm. The service will be followed by time to visit with family and friends until 3pm. A private family graveside will occur at Clover Hill Cemetery.
