Shirley Laverne Sipes

Shirley Laverne Sipes, 84 of Bloomington Indiana went to heaven peacefully on November 24th 2024 held in the arms of her son Michael. She loved the Lord, her sons, family, friends and Angel her cat that was never very far from his mommy. She was preceeded in death by her husbands Dale Mingee and William Robert Sipes, her Life Partner later in life Franklin Enochs, father Chester Field Horton and mother Rose White and her husband Ernest White, sisters Louise Lawson and Lois Bennett, nephew Robert Horton and niece Vicky Bruhn, sister-in-laws Patsy Sipes and Ruby Lovell and brother-in-laws James Sipes, Jake Taylor, and Jim Lovell. She is survived by her son Michael Dale Sipes and Girlfriend Wanda Tilley, grandsons Michael Sipes Jr, Bronson Sipes, Richard Sipes and his wife Brittany Lynn Sipes and great-granddaughters Briana and Skylar. Son Randall Clark Sipes and his wife Donna, grandsons Christopher Sipes and wife Cindy Sipes, Dustin Sipes and Jason Sipes. Her brother Chester Dale Horton and wife Loretta Horton, sister Rebecca Calabrese and husband Jeff Calabrese, her very special Niece Sylvia Franklin that spent many hours helping with her care and comfort, nieces Jacqulyne Booker, Susan Chambers, Helen Bergen, Lori Meadows, nephews Ricky Horton, Ronnie Sipes, Doug Nichols, Chris Calabrese, Josh Calabrese and other extended family including sister-in-laws Joanne Taylor and Norma Jean Turner and brother-in-law Raymond Sipes and many friends including her Grace at Work caretaker Jennifer Kubiak. She was the kindest most humble yet strongwilled woman I have ever known and having her as our mother made my brother and I better men. She was our Angel on Earth and now she is our Angel in Heaven. There will be a graveside service at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington on Friday November 29th at 1:00 pm. Arrangements provided by the loving hearts of Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 and Rev. Rick Borden. After the service everybody is welcome to join in a meal to fellowship and celebrate her life at Rev. Borden's church Mt Calvary Baptist Church 3900 S Snoddy Rd Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
