Susan Kay Francis

Susan Kay Francis, age 53, of SanCarlos, Mexico, died peacefully in Bloomington on Thursday, December 20th. Born February 3, 1959 in Terre Haute, IN and raised in Bloomington, IN she was the daughter of Robert A. Trinkle and Mary Jane (Trinkle) Foutty. Sue was a 1977 graduate of Bloomington High School North and a 1981 graduate of Indiana Universtiy SPEA. She was a member and President of the Indiana University Chapter of Chi Omega Sorority (Theta Beta). Sue contributed significantly to the growth of Dacor, Inc. and was one of the first females to be promoted to Vice President of Sales in the industry. Yoga was a big part of Sue's life and she completed 240 Yoga teacher training hours meeting international standards. She received continuing education in the Anatomy of Yoga and completed studies in Yoga philosophy & methodology. Sue was a certified Yoga teacher at San Carlos Athletic Club. Sue is survived by her husband Phil Francis of San Carlos, Mexico; her Mother Mary Jane (Trinkle) Foutty of Bloomington; her sister Terri (Trinkle) Goebel of Florida; and her brother Jeffrey A. Trinkle of Terre Haute, IN; and many neices and nephews, locally and across the country. Sue was married to her loving husband Phil Francis for 25 years. She lived and enjoyed life to the fullest in many parts of the country including New Jersey,Phoenix, AZ, Portland,Oregon, Santa Fe, NM and San Carlos & Alamos, Mexico, where she touched her many friends and family members with her positive spirit. Sue had an exceptional ability and willingness to inspire and encourage others, and she was a graceful and beautiful soul whose smile was a reflection of her incredible compassion for others. She will be missed by all the those who were lucky enough to know her. Sue was preceeded in death by her father Robert A Trinkle. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 27th at 6:00pm, at The Club House at The Fields- 1333 S. Fenbrook Lane, Bloomington In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to be given to The Olcott Center at 619 W. 1st St., Bloomington, IN 47403 or iuhealth.org/bloomington.
