William Matthew Zerface

On the morning of December 26, 2024the world lost William Matthew Zerface. Born on September 14, 1984 to Sheila K. Zerface and Michael Maurice Zerface in Bloomington, Indiana. Matt had an electric love for sports that was amplified by his God gifted athletic abilities alongside his tenacious competitiveness. Artistically inclined, he also enjoyed spending time whirling through whimsical wonderlands of musical medleys, coloring books, puzzles, and various lands of vast literature. Immensely immersing and integrating himself into any realm or canvas he came into contact with. Much like his father, Matt flourished in any form of social gatherings. With a smile so warm you could feel it before you saw it. He possessed an uncanny ability to emit his loving presence in any setting, naturally gravitating others to him and glowing as the go to gather round guy for a good time. Garnished with laughs, grins, and giggles. Matt deeply cherished and relished any and all time spent with friends, family and loved ones. He spent the latter years of his life with his grandmother, “Grammz or Grammy” Constance P. Chambers, assisting, caring for, and aiding in her wants and needs. Whether it be trudging through a snowstorm for a simplistic Walmart trip or slipping into socks and jammies for a soul soothing movie night. Matt and Grammy intrinsically stood as reflecting pillars of love and comfort for one another. As we reluctantly and ever so gently draw the curtain to a close on these scenes of Matts life her on this earth. Let us reserve room in our hearts, minds, and memories for the eternal echoes of the many magical moments he blessed us with. May Matts everlasting love of music carry on continuously, serenading all of us with the celestial songs of his soul. A steady cascade of heartwarming hymns trickling in from the cosmos as he is welcomed home by our heavenly host. Matt is survived by his mother, Sheila Zerface (James Groh); son, Levi Zerface; grandmothers, Connie Chambers and Judy Beasley; brother Mitch Zerface and Jake Groh; sister, Jamie Groh; nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Mike Zerface, grandfathers William Zerface and William Harper, and brother Jordon Sherfield.
