Betty L. (Wrightsman) Lehman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty L. (Wrightsman) Lehman, 70, of Bloomfield passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1951 in Bloomington, Indiana the daughter of John Robert and Patricia (Pamplin) Wrightsman. Betty attended Edgewood High School but was a 1971 Graduate of Owen Valley High School. After high school she received her Associate Degree from Ivy Tech College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She married Van Giles Lehman on September 1, 1984 in Bloomfield, Indiana. Betty worked as a secretary at Indiana University for seven years and she was also a Medical Laboratory Technician for many years first at Putnam County Hospital, Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Morgan County Hospital in Martinsville and then at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Cruiser Club USA Ch. 25 in Bloomington, she loved the outdoors, traveling, riding motorcycles, camping with her husband, playing euchre and card games, playing women’s softball, she loved her family and her three dogs and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed. Betty is survived by her husband, Van G. Lehman of Bloomfield; her son, Scott D. Hall of Worthington; her grandson, Brenan S. Hall of Coatsville; her brothers, Keith (Cindy) Wrightsman of Farmersburg; Kenneth Wrightsman of Spencer; a sister, Shirley Bandy of Spencer; several aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
