Brad Andrew Sturgeon

January 12, 1972 - December 18, 2021

Brad Andrew Sturgeon, age 49, received his ultimate healing and eternal reward Saturday morning, December 18, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital.  He had battled metastatic esophageal cancer for a year. Brad was born in Bloomington, Indiana on January 12, 1972 to Robert & Jo Anne (Clark) Sturgeon. He was a graduate of Bloomington South High School and ITT Technical Institute.  He was an accomplished HVAC technician and had been employed by Howald Heating and Cooling and IUPUI in Indianapolis.  Brad loved the outdoors, cars and racing, ATVs, root beer and red velvet cake.  He loved being involved in church, giving to and helping others and going on mission trips.  He had a quiet nature, but had a big heart that loved the Lord. He has been a part of churches in The Church of the Nazarene and Assembly God, most recently as a member of Indianapolis Southwest Church of the Nazarene. He leaves behind his wife of four years, Sara (Frakes) Sturgeon of Indianapolis; son Noah (3) Sturgeon of Indianapolis; father Robert Sturgeon of Bloomington; brother Michael Sturgeon and wife Angela of Bloomington; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jo Anne (Clark) Sturgeon.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 21, 2021 at the Southwest Church of Nazarene 4797 Tincher Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46221, at 2:30PM. Visitation will be held the same day from 12:00PM Noon until the time of the service, 2:30PM, at the church as well. Burial will follow the next day, Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 10:30AM in the Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington, Indiana.
