Donnia L. (Humphrey) Freeman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donnia L. (Humphrey) Freeman, 84 of Bloomington passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on May 5, 1938 the daughter of James W. and Beatrice Rachel (Smith) Humphrey. She attended Smithville High School. Donnia married the love of her life Junior Alonzo Freeman they were together for forty-five years. She was a member of the Blackwell Horse Association. Donnia loved her family and loved her dogs and horses, she thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, working with flowers, horseback riding, camping working on the farm, milking cows and cutting hay with her husband Junior. She also worked with MCCSC as a bus driver for twenty-five years and at Sears in Bloomington for ten years. She will be greatly missed. Donnia leaves behind her children, Jim R. Watson; Shanta L. (Dan) Grubb; Tonya K. (Carl) Tegarden; and Doug K. Watson; her twelve grandchildren, Daniel; Anne; Jessica; Jim D.; Elisa; Crystal; Kyle; Carl; Kandra; Logan; Jon; Lisa; her ten great grandchildren, Lane; Cole; Lexi; Chesney; Drew; Sophia; Ashlynn; Coltlynn; Braylynn; Dezlynn; she also leaves behind her sister, Loettea Rush; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Beatrice Humphreys; her husband Junior Freeman Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old State Road 37. With the Rev. Joe Nelson officiating. After the service she will be laid to rest in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will also be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Monday, June 13, 2022 at funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children's Hospital in memory of her.
