Joyce Mae Sparks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joyce Mae Sparks, age 94 of Solsberry passed away early Saturday morning June 27, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 20, 1926 in Solsberry to George R. Kelley. And Gladys Cooper Kelley. She was a 1944 graduate of Solsberry High School and married her high school sweetheart, Russell after graduating. They were married 68 years upon his death in 2012. Joyce spent most of her professional career with the Admissions Office at Indiana University and enjoyed ushering along side her husband at Indiana University home football and basketball games. Shew also thoroughly enjoyed traveling whenever she had the chance. Joyce leaves behind her children Terry L. Sparks and Myra, Cathy L. Fox and Steve, grandchildren Rusty Fox all of Solsberry, Tara Sparks and husband John Blount of Goshen, Indiana, and Lyndsey Berrong and Jason of Rockport, Indiana. Great grand children Myles Sparks and Bella Berrong also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Audrey McGuire, and her husband Russell. Private family services are being conducted by Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Od State Road 37.
