Karen Louise Lovell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Karen Louise (Swisher) Lovell, 76, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1945 in Logansport, Indiana; the daughter of Donald Gene. and Delta May (Hipsher) Swisher. Karen graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Throughout her teaching career, she taught preschool along with several courses at Ivy Tech Community College. Karen was a lifelong caretaker for both her beloved husband, Arthur, along with her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading. Karen is survived by her children, Michael (Gina) Lovell, and Suzanne (Charles) Rousey, and Christi Grider; grandchildren, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Lovell, Ryan Lovell, Jason (Baylee) Lovell, Justin Lovell, Zachary (Ashley) Rousey, and Matthew Rousey; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Luke Lovell; brother, Don Swisher; and sister, Kathy Closson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Arthur G. Lovell. There will be no services at this time. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S.
