Marlene Sue Reed, 64, of Bloomington passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1957 in Bloomington, Indiana the daughter of Thomas Eugene and Bessie Louise (Hostetler) Ryan. Marlene was a 1976 graduate of Bloomington High School North. She married William Leon Reed on January 29, 1993 in Bloomington, Indiana. Marlene was a cook and a house director for several fraternities at Indiana University for over 30 years before retiring. She was passionate about interior design and decorating, arranging flowers, cooking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Marlene is survived by her loving husband of twenty-seven years, William Leon Reed of Bloomington; her sons, Matthew Stone of Bloomington; Thomas Reed of Bloomington; Andy (Yohana) Reed of Dallas, TX; her daughter Tausha (Matthew)Coffey of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Ramanda; Jenny; Jay; Bella and Gunner; her great granddaughter, Cadence; her mother, Bessie L. Ryan of Bloomington; a sister, Sheila (Kevin) Ennis of Bloomington; her brothers, Jeffrey Ryan of Bloomington; Tommy (Tina) Ryan of Bloomington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Ryan and her two brothers, Steven Ryan and Greg Ryan. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
