Micky Marie Watson

March 17, 1952 - April 4, 2022

Micky Marie Watson, age 70, passed away in the early hours of April 4th, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. Micky was born in Bloomington in 1952 to Ted and Orpha Lawson. She married the love of her entire life, Wayne Watson on March 23rd, 1968. They recently celebrated 54 years of a loving and affectionate marriage. To know either of them was to know both, as rarely was one seen without the other. Micky retired from Monroe Hospital in 2018 and was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years. To know her was to love her. She always had a smile on her face even during her battle with cancer. It was a smile that would lift those around her no matter what. She was always willing to help those around her. She loved her friends and family deeply. She was most proud of her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Micky is preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Chuck Lawson. She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Wayne; three daughters Karen (Doug) Klyn, Linda (Bobby) Richardson, and Christina Watson; five grandchildren Tyler Watson, Ashlee Grissom, Josh (Danielle) Grissom, Kaylee Richardson (Steven Ramage), and Bre Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Tristin Watson, Trent Ramage, Avalynn Snyder; one sister Linda (Melvin) Williams, two brothers Dale (Marie) Webb and Mike (Diane) Lawson; brother-in-law Brian (Cindy) Webb and sister-in-law Connie Lawson; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Micky will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37, Bloomington.
