Robert Bradly Deckard

Robert Bradly Deckard, 34, of Markle, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1990 in Seymour, Indiana the son of Robert and Susan (Prince) Deckard. Bradly graduated from Bloomington High School North. He was very proud to be a Cougar and made newspaper deliveries throughout the school. Bradly had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life-- walking for miles with a peaceful heart, the thrill of a well-aimed bowling strike, and the comfort of a favorite meal. He loved being with family and though he often found peace in solitude, his bond with those closest to him was undeniable. He was a math whiz, loved swimming, and country music which included his favorite artist, Tim McGraw. Bradly is survived by his mother, Susan Prince Deckard; father, Robert H. Deckard; siblings, Rebecca Deckard, Richard Deckard (Heather), Elizabeth Deckard (Scott Mullins), Benjamin Deckard (Sarah Fitzgerald), Jessica Johnson (Christoper), Kat Deckard, and Jakob Deckard (Mckenzie Keeton); nieces and nephews, Keenan, Lyanna, Madison, Abigail, Warrior, Jazmin, Aiden, Levi, River, Mikey, Dmitri, Sofia, Jakob Jr., and Iris; aunts, Sandy Hazelip (Brian) and Ruth Chasse (David); uncles, Brent Prince, Brian Prince (Kelli), George Atteberry, James Deckard, Charles Deckard, John Deckard and Oral Deckard; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Roger and Judy Prince, paternal grandparents Walter and Laura Deckard, aunts Marilee Atteberry and Betty Lou Deckard, uncles Carl Deckard, Mike Deckard and Eddie Deckard, nieces and nephews Jaiden Neville, Nevaeh Deckard and Adam Deckard, cousins Shelby Hazelip, Andrea Deckard, David Deckard and Carl Deckard II, and his best friend Mark Henico. Funeral services for Bradly will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Rd 37 in Bloomington with Pastor Carey Cohenour officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
