Scott Amos Gardner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Scott Amos Gardner, 46, of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born on January 10, 1976 in Evanston, Illinois; the son of Clarence and Isabelle Gardner. Scott was employed by Dr. Travel’s Eye Care for many years before becoming a Patient Advocate for dialysis patients through Fresenius Kidney Care. Scott loved dancing and listening to 80’s music. He enjoyed socializing and was the king of Facebook birthday shoutouts to his many friends. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed trivia, video games, feeding ducks, traveling when he could, and WWE Wrestling. He was also a huge Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He was also extremely proud of his Jamaican heritage. Scott is survived by his children, Kyla (Brett) Dell, Hannah Gardner, and Aaliyah Gardner; grand-shorty, A.J. Dell; stepdaughter, Sarah (Brenden) Mack; siblings, Stacy Gardner, Debbie Jones-Gardner, Colin (Juliet) Gardner, and Gregg (Sophia) Wright. Aunt Marion & Uncles Chester, Lascelle Bailey, and cousins Obinnos & Michael Coley, Trevor & Dean Wilmot. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allen Funeral Home to help assist with funeral expenses.
