    Shawn Gabriel Smith St

    August 23, 1976 - April 30, 2022

Shawn Gabriel Smith Sr. was born in Gary, Indiana. He made it to the age of 45. He passed away Saturday April 30, 2022 at 8:18 pm. He was comfortably staying at the IU Hospice House. He was suffering from colon cancer that spread all throughout his body, and sadly found it too late. He was married to the mother of the three of his children Christina Rhodes-Smith. They were high school sweethearts and were dedicated to each other until the very end. He always said that she was his forever woman. His three children that survives him is named. Shawn Gabriel Smith Jr, Adonis Jordan Smith, and Faith Renee Smith, and two grandsons; Rip James Lowell Reagan and Kingston Michael Smith; He was preceded in death by his mother Constance King and aunt Kathy Espinoza; uncles, Petey Thorpe and Jock Thorpe; his grandma Patricia Zirkle He was an amazing father that dedicated his entire life to the well-being and safety of his children and their futures. He was at every football game, every practice, every school event, and was always there for you if you needed someone. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and was a computer genius. He was such a great provider for the family that one day after the family vehicle broke down, he walked 5 miles to the grocery store, and 5 miles back just so that his children could eat that night. If I was to explain the type of person he was and will forever be known as was a devoted loving father, patient, creative, down to earth, hardworking, funny, and the most amazing human being that you could know. If I had to say what my favorite thing about my father was it would be that he pushed me to be better every day, and motivated me to finish school, try out for the football team, to do track, and to be a better man than what he was…. And an even better father. He will live on forever in all the many hearts he’s touched and lives he’s changed forever. We love you, Dad. Fly high and enjoy the peace and quiet. You deserve it❤️ A celebration of life service will be held Moore’s Creek shelter house Saturday May 14, 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm with food, balloons and lanterns. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences, photos and memories may be shared with family and friends at www.allencares.com
