Shirlyn Mae Trimble Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirlyn Mae (Honeycutt) Trimble, 77, of Whitehall, loving mother of six, devoted wife and grandmother to many, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 7, 2022, finally freed from all pain and sickness. Born September 9, 1944 in Bloomington, Indiana to Lowell Honeycutt and Shirley (Yarnell) Griffin. There is also where she met the love of her life and husband of 64 years, Michael and in 1958 they began building the family that she would dedicate her whole life to loving and giving her all to. She loved taking family vacations to her favorite place in the world, Montana and was happiest when she was surrounded by beautiful mountains, sitting around the campfire making memories with her family. Shirlyn truly was the epitome of strength, giving all the praise and glory to God, right up until the end and was thanking him endlessly for the beautiful life she led. Shirlyn is survived by her loving husband, Michael, sons, Mike (Kathy), Phil (Lori), Brad (Jen), Shane, and daughter, Loann (Mark), sister, Diane, grandmother to 44 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a few great great-grandchildren (with more on the way), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and one son, Sidney. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, July 13, 2022 and 12-1pm Thursday at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37 in Bloomington. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Duane Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Gross Cemetery in Whitehall.
