Venetta Jane Cain, 79, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Bloomington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born, December 5, 1942 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Raymond and Geneva (Waldrip) Cain. Jane was a lifelong resident of Bloomington, attending Handy Grade School and Bloomington High School. She was a longtime member of the Burgoon Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Mildred J. Thompson, one brother, Dwight Cain, two great nephews, Forrest Eric Thompson II (Jessica), and Jacob Logan Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one brother-in-law, Forrest G. Thompson, one nephew, Forrest Eric Thompson, and one great-nephew, Jerick Lee Thompson. Jane loved the outdoors, collecting stuffed animals, and ceramic ducks. Her favorite thing lately was having Burger King for lunch with Jessica (She loved a Whopper with fries). The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bloomington Nursing and Rehab Center for their love and care for Jane. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37, in Bloomington, with Pastor Harold Godsey officiating. Visitation will be 11am until time of services Tuesday. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Burgoon Cemetery Fund.
