W. Kay Daniels

W. Kay Daniels, 86, of Solsberry, Indiana passed away January 3, 2022 at the Glenburn Home in Linton. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on July 7, 1935 as the son of Sylvanus and Nancy Ellen (Hildum) Daniels. He was a 1953 graduate of Bloomington High School, and also a 1975 graduate of Indiana University with his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Walter married Wanda C. Swango in September 1956 in Harrodsburg, Indiana they were happily married sixty one years. He was an accountant for Indiana university Foundation for over 30 years before retiring in 1998. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed restoring old cars with his son, and loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandson Ryan, Walter was a Mason and attended and was a former Grand Master of the Stanford Masonic Lodge. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Walter is survived by his son, Michael K. Daniels; one grandson, Ryan Alan Daniels of Ellettsville; his siter, Patricia “Pat” VanArsdalen and loved by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvanus and Nancy; his wife, Wanda; his sister Elsie Royal and a brother-in-law, Ken VanArsdalen. No services are scheduled at this time because of covid. Cremation Rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorial contributions to be made in Walter’s memory to the Riley Children’s Hospital. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S.
