Ashley Renee Robling

For those who knew Ashley Renee Robling, the stars in their respective skies have all grown dimmer. Ashley, who loved life and dogs and traveling and her family – and being a professional caregiver – brought light and love and joy to all who knew her or who even spent a tiny bit of time with her. Ashley sang Happy Birthday to every baby she delivered; and she held the hands and listened to the stories of countless infirm and elderly who adored her. She loved her family fiercely, none more than her fur-babies who will be lost without her. We will all be lost without her. Ashley was born on June 16, 1987, at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and she departed this Earth on Saturday, July 17, 2021, after collapsing in her home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. She left behind an untold number of friends and acquaintances and a family who adored her, specifically, her mother Dorothye Houck, her father and traveling companion Kevin Robling, her loving sisters Michelle Brown, Stephanie Scott (Gordon), and Courtney Ann Robling, her grandfather Kenneth Robling, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ashley was predeceased by her grandmothers Mary Ann Robling and Carole Houck, and her aunt Kimberly Wentzel (Michael). Ashley is a 2006 graduate of Bloomington High School South where she cheered and performed on the school’s dance team; a 2010 graduate of Indiana University—Bloomington where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and earned her BSN in the highly-competitive Nursing Program; and a 2015 graduate of the University of Indianapolis where she earned her Master’s in Women’s Health while working as a full-time RN at Methodist Hospital. Ashley became a Nurse Practitioner in the Tampa, Florida area where she excelled with the Pioneer Medical Group and touched innumerable lives. Ashley was the best of us. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25, from 1:00 – 4:00 at Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old State Road 37 Bloomington, Indiana; followed by a service there at 4:00 officiated by Pastor Patrick Shay. She will be buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pike County, Indiana, next to her grandmother in a private ceremony. Ashley loved all things bright and beautiful, but, given her large heart and undying love for all dogs, the family asks that donations be provided to Pets Alive in her name at 2444 S.
