Brian Scott Graham

Brian Scott Graham, 44, of Columbus, Indiana slipped away from us on April 19, 2023. He was born February 24, 1979 in Bloomington, Indiana to Ronald Gene and Michelle Renee (Thoman) Graham. He attended Bloomington South High School and Indiana University East. He graduated from IU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received the Outstanding Student in Management from the School of Business and Economics. Throughout the years, Brian poured his heart and soul into a myriad of professions. From the artistry of interior and exterior painting, to the unwavering dedication as a hardware store manager. He embraced the role of a student advisor, investing in the dreams of students, and cherished the precious moments of being a stay-at-home dad. He took on the challenges of a circulation district manager and HVAC technician. Each endeavor was a testament to his relentless spirit and the deep connection he forged with every role he embraced. Brian had a rich blend of hobbies and interests that brought him joy, from listening to music and collecting stones and coins to the thrill of white water rafting. He found solace in playing video games, lost himself in the pages of books for both enjoyment and lifelong learning, and cherished the quiet moments spent fishing or engaging in home projects and yard work. Time with family and friends filled his heart, whether he was gathered around a table for euchre or poker, or simply hanging out sharing stories and jokes. He truly felt at home when he was near water, whether by the serene lake, the winding river, or the inviting beach. In a twist of fate crafted by shared friends, Brian met Linda at a concert he had little interest in attending. This meeting would forever change the course of both of their lives. Their family was beautifully completed with the arrival of their son Embry. To formally seal their bond and celebrate their love, Brian and Linda were married on August 15, 2014, in Bloomington, their five-year anniversary. Brian’s greatest love and pride was undeniably for his wonderful son. He embraced many important life roles, including devoted husband, caring father, adored son, beloved brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, grandson, nephew, cousin, and steadfast friend to countless individuals. We are all truly honored to have known him and shared moments of life with Brian by our sides. He touched the hearts of many with his quick wit, heartfelt guidance, unwavering kindness, deep respect, vast knowledge, and boundless love. His passing has left a void in the depths of our hearts that can never be filled. Those left to treasure and hold dear the cherished memory of Brian are his loving wife, Linda (Walker) Graham and their beloved son, Embry Scott of Columbus; his parents, Ron and Michelle of Bloomington; his sissy, Nichole (Todd) Edwards of Bedford; his niece, Julie; several aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, extended family, and friends. Brian was predeceased by paternal grandparents Carl Eugene Graham and Hester (Conway) Jackson; maternal grandparents Albert Thoman and Fay (Owens) Thoman; uncles Carl Graham and Kendall Thoman; aunts Sharon (Graham) Cannon and Julia Thoman; and his sweet Beagle Chloe. In keeping with Brian’s wishes, the family said their goodbyes in private. Cremation rites were entrusted to Allen Funeral Home and Crematory in Bloomington.
