Glenda Sue "Susie" Bunch

Glenda Sue “Susie” Bunch, of Bloomington, IN, passed away peacefully the morning of April 8, 2026, to be with our Lord and Savior. Susie was born on July 19, 1953, in Bloomington, to George Arthur Garrison and Edith Bernice (Turpin) Garrison. She was a 1971 graduate of Bloomington High School. After high school Susie married Terry “Jim” Bunch and had two sons. Over the years, Susie raised their two boys and helped raise and support many other family members. She had a beautiful trait in that she could not bear to see someone go without. She worked hard as a Wire guide welder for Cook Medical for 30 of her 31 years there. A job that she excelled at with the help of music, audiobooks, and close friendships. She supported her sons through college and trades, weddings, and the raising of her grandchildren. Susie was a lifelong reader, finishing thousands of books cover to cover, many times within a day. She was a passionate fan of Motown, Clapton, The Beatles, and many other artists, and could remember facts about all of them. But Susie’s true passion for the last 6 years has been her granddaughters, to whom she has given more than anyone could ask for. Susie is survived by her sons, Trevor Bunch and Tyler (Kristen) Bunch, and two grandchildren, Ella and Emery Bunch, whom she could not believe she adored more than her sons. She is also survived by her former spouse and good friend, Jim Bunch, her brother Richard “Dick” (Cindy) Garrison, and her sisters, Patricia “Trish” (Jim) Webb, Betty (Roger) Taylor, Sandra Hollers, and Dottie (David) Boswell. Susie is also survived by sisters-in-law Gloria “Junie” Cassidy, Helen (Greg) Walden, and many nieces, nephews, and their families. Susie was preceded in death by her father George, mother “Bernice,” brothers Stanley “Butch” Garrison and Maurice “Bob” Garrison. She was also preceded in death by father-in-law James R. Bunch, sister-in-law & brother-in-law Mike & Betty (Bunch) Deckard, brother-in-law James (Jim) Webb, brother-in-law Robert “Bob” Cassidy, brother-in-law Gerald Hollers, nephews Russell “Rusty” Deford, Robert “Bobby” Garrison, and Ed Webb, and nieces Sherry (Deckard) Pershing, April (Hollers) Flick and Amanda “Mandy” (Garrison) Emory. Trevor and Tyler would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Sandra Hollers, Donna (Deckard) Shields, Dottie Boswell, and Karen Tamewitz for their care and support for their mother over the last several years. They would also like to extend grateful appreciation to the Emergency and Critical Care units at IU Health Bloomington. Funeral services for Glenda will be held Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11 AM in the morning at the Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 S. Old State Rd. 37. Burial will follow in the Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Visitation will be also held at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, April 16 from 4 PM until 7 PM in the evening.
