Harry Vernon Lindsay of Bloomington / Poland Indiana passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Indiana University Health Hospital, Bloomington. He was born September 23, 1969 in Flint, Michigan to Harry Vernon Lindsay Sr. And Mary Louise Kehl Hughey Lindsay Denger. He was a Graduate of Byron High School Flint, Michigan and worked as a laborer in construction. He enjoyed fishing, racing, cool cars, and working on automobiles. Harry was a Colts Fan and loved his dear friend of seven years, Kim. He missed his Mom and Dad dearly. Harry is survived by, loving significant other, Kimberly Stewart of Bloomington, Indiana, her children and grandchildren; son, Joshua Dee Preston Hicks Aka Joshua Lindsay (Heather ) Grand Son, Elias Hicks; daughter Teena Jo Hicks Aka Ashley Lindsay; brother Michael A. Hughey (Nola) Martinsville, Indiana; nieces Stephanie Chamness (Thomas), Tonya Walden (Travis), Jennifer Coleman (Ian ); sister Connie C. Hughey Ostrander, Georgetown, Illinois; nieces Amy (Brian) and Cassie Shireman (Todd); sister Myra Jo Hughey Brooks, (Reggie ); nephew Nathan Brooks; sister Christina Marie Hughey Dewiest of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces and nephews Julia Kay Medlin, Jami Deweese, Billy Deweese, Alexis Dewees, Jose Deweese, Brianna Deweese; sister Anita Louise Hughey Harvey, (Robert) Ridgefarm, Illinois; nieces Anna and Aaron; sister Theresa Elana Hughey (Danny) RidgeFarm, Illinois; sister Virginia “Jen” Hendricks Simpson (Gene) of Clearwater, Florida; nieces Sylvia Simpson (Laura) and Arielle; sister Martha Lindsay Koopman (Mike) California; nephew Jason; Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Jake Snodgras Nichole Dean, Leah Helton, Jeanna Hughey, Kristie Hughey, Kathie Hughey and many great nieces and great nephews, and Aunt Janet Cook and Uncle John Kehl. Preceding him in death; mother Mary L. Lindsay, father Harry Vernon Lindsay Sr.; four brothers John Francis Hughey Jr., Richard Lee Hughey, Donald Allen Hughey, and Vernon Lindsay Hughey; and a sister Linda Sue Lindsay Hughey Snodgrass. Harry will be missed and loved by all! A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the First Christian Church at 89 S. Main St Martinsville, IN with Pastor Nick Robertson and Pastor Roxie McNelly officiating. A private family burial has taken place with cremation rites accorded.
