Henry L. Dyer

Henry Lee Dyer, 88, of Bloomington, Indiana went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 8, 1934 in Burkesville, Kentucky the son of Albert and Mary (Johnson) Dyer. Henry attended Bloomington High School. And he proudly served in the Indiana National Guard. Henry married Ruby Joyce Jacobs on June 26, 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana they were happily married sixty-eight years. He was a member of Highland Village Pentecostal Church. Henry was a concrete finisher, builder, and worked for the city of Bloomington as a construction coordinator for 21 years before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed working outside, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Henry is survived by his wife, Ruby Joyce Dyer; his son, Rev. Scott (Jeanette) Dyer; his daughter Susan (Rev. David) Rutter; his grandchildren, Cara Dyer; Shane (Carrie) Stremming; Amy (Phillip) Murray; Shannon (Reuben) Vandeventer; Stacey (Darren) Fuller; Shawna Deckard; Shanda (Jared) Taylor; David Rutter Jr; Great Grandchildren, Landon (Ana) Stremming; Jacob Stremming; Reagan Murray; Adayah Murray; Pierson Murray; Hailey Vandeventer; Hannah Vandeventer; Hayden Vandeventer; Darren Fuller Jr; Chandler Wise; Caleb Deckard; Kendall Deckard; Kendrick Eberhardt; Mason Taylor and Maya Taylor; one great great granddaughter, Kamille Stremming; his sister Delsa “Pat” Hudoff; and several nieces and nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Mary Dyer; his daughter, Tammy Stremming Jeffress; a brother Enos Dyer; a sister Maggie Frazor. A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Highland Village Pentecostal Church. With Rev. Andrew King Officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with service following on Friday November 25, 2022 at the church. A graveside service will be held on Saturday November 26, 2022 at 10:30am at Clear Creek Cemetery. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S.
