In Loving Memory of Karen Georganna Harper February 27, 1954 – June 23, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 27, 1954, Karen was a woman rooted deeply in love, laughter, and fierce loyalty. She found joy in the simple things—playing cards, listening to music, camping in the RV, and doodling little drawings on whatever scrap piece of paper she could find. Her creativity, warmth, and sharp wit brought life to every room she entered. She was stubborn and bull-headed in all the best ways—strong, unshakable, and unapologetically herself. You always knew where you stood with her, and if she loved you, she’d go to the ends of the earth for you. Her family meant everything to her, and she poured her entire heart into theirs. She dedicated 25 years of hard work to COOK Inc., where she built not only a career but many lasting memories. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Michael Harper; her daughter Jacquelin (Randy) Skeen Harper, and their children Michael Jones, Kaylee (Dylan) Bortner, Riley Skeen, Alannah Skeen, and Kennedy Skeen; her son Michael Harper II (Jessica), and their children Hunter Mathis, Taylor Fulk, and Josh Fulk; and her great-grandchildren Maggie and Saylor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruah Camden; her father, Ralph Camden; her aunt May Mitchell, who was more like a second mother to her; and her beloved sisters Alberta, Roberta, and Sharon. To know her was to be loved by her—deeply, loudly, and without condition. She was the center of our family, the keeper of memories, the voice of reason (and sometimes sass), and the heartbeat of every gathering. A Visitation followed by Funeral will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home (4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN 47401) from 10am-1pm and 1pm respectively. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in honoring the remarkable life she lived. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
