Latina "Tina" M. Franklin (Austin)

Latina (TIna) M. Franklin (Austin) of Bloomington, IN passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2023 at the age of 57. Tina was born on October 29, 1965 to her loving parents Mae and Kenny Austin and grew up surrounded by a large family. Tina was a strong, brave, caring and kind woman who faced every challenge in life with courage and dignity. Being a devoted mother and grandmother was the most important part of her life, a role that gave her so much pride and joy. She always instilled the importance of family. Family meant more to her than anything else in the world. If you were a part of her life as a friend or family member you knew she loved you with every ounce of her being. Tina had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation, and her laugh was infectious to everyone around her. She had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing games and cards, crafts and shopping. She loved gardening and flowers. She had a green thumb and a house full of gorgeous plants to prove it. She had a passion for decorating and home improvement and was always changing things in her home to suit her current interests. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her family and friends. As we mourn the loss of Tina , I encourage any and all that knew her to remember the beauty she brought to this world. Tina is survived by her mother; Hester (Mae) Austin; her children, Jennifer Maksimov (Judson Bailey), Adam Webb; her grandchildren; Braylee Maksimov, Sydnee Bailey, Camden Webb and Elijah Webb; her siblings; brother Matt Austin (Gladys) and children Kala Willis (Cody) and Amanda Austin, sister; Elizabeth Austin (Kevin Wilkerson) and children Chris Wagner (Allison), Matt Wagner (Kayla), Brevon Wilkerson, Danay’e Wilkerson, and brother David Austin (Katrina Taylor) and child Kai-Di Austin. She is predeceased by her father Kenneth Austin. Services will be held on Friday August 4th at Turning Point Apostolic Church (210 W Vine St. Ellettsville, IN 47429) Viewing will be from 11-2 Services will be from 2-3 Graveside will be immediately after at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. There will be a celebration of life following the graveside service at Karst Farm Park in Shelter house #6 ( The Commons) In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help cover the cost of Funeral and Burial Arrangements.
