Malik Ali Malik, 39, of Bloomington passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born on May 30, 1981 in Elgin, Illinois the son of Malik Ali Malik and Ann Marie Simmons. Malik was a man of many talents had many friends and knew many people. Funny, loving, wild, ambitious and supportive but most of all a father. Malik had an abundance of love for children. He did not miss birthdays, holidays or school functions. Supportive and encouraging Malik was the true definition of a father. Malik was not just this way with his own children but many others as well. Malik had a powerful and contagious positive spirit that attracted people from all backgrounds. He enjoyed hosting large gatherings and parties for the people he loved. Malik had a deep love for music and dancing. Malik left his fingerprint and footprint on this earth before he was called home and will forever be cherished by his children, family and friends. We know that Malik is now in peace and will always be with us in spirit as his soul celebrates powerfully in the kingdom of heaven. Malik is survived by his children, Malik Michaelangelo Dorman; Aaliyah Marie Dorman; Beyonce Smiley; Benjamin Southern; his companion Barbara Jan Dorman of Solsberry; his father Malik Ali Malik his brothers, Roderick Simmons and Fred Simmons; his sisters, Rena Bobo; Jemila Ali Malik ; Lesha Simmons; and Shavana Lastar Simmnons. His nieces, Riyanna; Raegan; Abigail;Vanessa; Whitney; Alicia; Neveah and Ahsley; his nephews,Josiah; Kevon; Antwaun; Arian and Eshawn; his aunts, Shirely Lockett; Mary Whiteside; Carolina Bonds and Patricia Bonds. He was preceded on death by his mother Ann Marie Simmons; grandmother, Annie Mae Simmons; his aunts and Uncles, Bobby Atkins; Bertha Darron Simmons; Johnny Simmons and Doris Simmons. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old St Rd 37 Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday May 7, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
