Sunrise: March 17, 1951 – Sunset: June 16, 2025 Patricia Elaine Owens, a devoted daughter, loving sister, cherished aunt, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and cherished memories. Born on March 17, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Maggie and Joseph Owens, Patricia later made Bloomington, Indiana, her home—a community she loved and where she built lasting connections. A proud veteran, Patricia honorably served in the United States Army for 20 years, exemplifying strength, discipline, and patriotism. After her military career, she continued her strong work ethic at General Electric, where she later retired. Patricia’s commitment to service extended beyond her professional life—she was a pillar of support and love for her family and friends. Patricia was passionate about traveling, capturing life’s precious moments through her camera lens, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her vibrant spirit and warm presence brought joy to every gathering, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Joseph Owens, and her siblings Joseph Owens Jr., Edna Vaughn, Patterson Owens, and Joey Owens. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sisters, Linda Owens and Media Nelson, Valencia(Owens) Blair, Mable Owens, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and dear friends. Patricia held a special bond with her Sisters, Valencia Blair (Terrance), and her children: Krissy Owens, Jarrett Hylton, and Terrance Blair II. Sister, Mable Owens (Calvin), and her children: Caden McCrimager and Calvin Gant Jr.; She also shared close relationships with her nephew, Lazarious Owens (Faith), and his children: Lazarious Owens and Kamaria Owens; as well as her niece, Crissy Phillips, and her children: Ryan Rhodes Jr. and Kristopher Rhodes. Patricia Elaine Owens will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
