Wilma Ruth Fiscus

Wilma Ruth Fiscus, 89 of Bloomington, Indiana went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 4th, 2026. Wilma was born at home in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Mary Richardson. Wilma grew up with eight siblings. Wilma married the love of her life, Donald E. Fiscus on December 18th, 1954. They lived a wonderful life together, until his passing in November of 2010. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s company, Fiscus Construction, for 50 years. In her spare time, she developed lifelong friendships, played Euchre with friends, enjoyed family vacations, attended grandchildren’s sporting events, fishing trips, and making family memories. During their many vacations, Wilma took many beautiful pictures of the places that they visited. They fished together and traveled the country, visiting every state except Hawaii. Wilma had a wonderful life, and so many friends. Wilma’s 54 class got together for many events. She spent many hours with all of her friends from Curves and from church. Don and Wilma were members of Zion Hill Baptist Church, joining in 1984. Wilma served as a Deaconess and Don served as a Trustee. They treasured the deep friendships that they made at their church. Years ago, Wilma and Don sponsored a child to attend church camp. Two wonderful things happened from this act of kindness. This child brought his family closer to Christ. Secondly, Wilma and Don continued to support any child who could not afford to attend ABY church camp. Wilma is survived by her two children; Susie (Richard) DiMarchi and Rick (Cindy) Fiscus, and by her grandchildren; Maria DiMarchi (Joseph) Chabenne, Christina DiMarchi (Jeremy) Ziliak, and Alissa (Timothy) Knickerbocker, and her great-grandchildren; Sophia, Cecilia, and Olivia Chabenne, and Mia, Rory, and Archie Knickerbocker. Wilma was a very positive person who will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Services will be held at Allen Funeral Home at 4155 South Old State Rd 37, Bloomington, IN 47401 on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 11:30am. Officiated by Reverend Robert Yount. Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2026, from the hours of 2:00 -5:00pm. Wilma’s Earthly remains will be laid to rest following the service at Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a gift of love may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church at 5050 Turkey Track Road, Martinsville, IN 46151. †
